It is not easy to find the way to go:

Go in through the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many there are who go in through it. Because narrow is the gate and constricted is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

(Matt 7:13-14)

Yet the context of the above verse is doing good works:

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father in Heaven give good things to those who ask Him? Therefore all things, whatever you desire that men should do to you, do even so to them; for this is the Law and the Prophets.

(Matt 7:11-12)

The golden rule could also be the golden light to the path to finding that narrow gate?
