Thanks for this encouragement, not many people comment so I really appreciate it.

One preacher use to paraphrase 2Corinthians 1:3-7 as follows, which I think expresses the intent of the verse well:

"Blessed be God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of all mercies and the God of all encouragement;

Who encourages us in all our troubles that we may be able to encourage others which are in any trouble through the encouragement wherewith we ourselves are encouraged by God.

For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our encouragement also abounds by Christ.

And whether we be troubled it is for your encouragement and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be encouraged it is also for your encouragement and salvation.

And our hope of you is steadfast, knowing that as you are partakers of the troubles, so shall you also be of the encouragement." (2Cor 1:3-7)

As we encourage others then God encourages us, even through our trials.

May the God of all encouragement guide and give you the courage to work through your trials with his help.

If I may be of any encouragement, or throw some light on something, please don't hesitate to ask.

Warmest Regards

Martin

Totally agree- jabs and sound but no substance!

My wife and I are also without people to meet with, which is why we are writing this blog, to help others in a similar situation and to find people, no matter how far away, that we can resonate with.

Elijah had the same problem, when he complained that he was the only one, God told him there were 7,000 others in Israel whom Elijah didn't know about that had not forsaken God. 1Kings 19:9-18

God allows us to go through trials, and this Covid rubbish is a real hassle, particularly the potential of getting the spike protein from others, as my wife has had the very unpleasant and dangerous symptoms of.

We will pray for you to be able to find friends with God that will share and encourage you in your walk with our great Father of lights.

"And I have given them the glory which You have given Me"...

This first part of John 17:22 also is astounding when you think of the glory that Jesus has.

Good essay.

Thanks Cork

Yes, it is absolutely astounding, yet is the purpose that God has for us!

And we complain about the trials in our life, which are all given for us to learn and grow in faith and knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knows us not, because it knew him not.

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

And every man that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.

(1Jn 3:1-3)

Staggering stuff ay?!?!?
