Having attended a Revival, I became a 7th Day Adventist. Some years later, a couple Israeli scholars convinced me that, since the Tablets were produced by God for Moses' help in controlling the Jews, the ten commandments only are meant for Jews. Now, with several more years behind me, I am questioning everything I've ever been taught.

Prove all things, hold fast to that which is good.

Abstain from every appearance of evil.

And may the God of peace Himself sanctify you, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blamelessly at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Faithful is He who called you, who also will do it.

(1Thes 5:21-24)

Amen, brother. When I was a practicing and evangelizing Adventist, my father (a Free Methodist) got tired of my preaching and in one of the few times I ever heard him raise his voice (outside of a hockey rink) was when he told me, "God knows my heart". I think that says it all. We see through a glass darkly; but Jesus has the spiritual Windex.

The Sabbath is certainly something people get proud about, which is what I have found with not only the SDA's but other groups also. But if people don't want to have a rest when God has set apart a day to do so then that is their problem, they are missing out. Yet they may be more humble than the self righteous sabbath keeper! God is not fooled.

He that is of a proud heart stirs up strife: but he that puts his trust in the LORD shall be made fat.

(Prov 28:25)

Shall not God search this out? for he knows the secrets of the heart.

(Psa 44:21)
