Interesting comment, not sure if I understand what you are saying, however.
There are two deaths.
The first death kills only the body.
The second death only happens to those who, after they have come up in the SECOND resurrection, then don't accept Christ and consequently get thrown into the lake of fire.
Then those people will not exist anymore.
Jesus provides the solution to eternal death by providing eternal life:
For this (reason) Christ both died and rose and lived again, that He might be Lord both of the dead and living. (Rom 14:9)
Thrown in the lake of fire, then they don't exist anymore. Are you saying the lake of fire is only a momentary existence? And once they cease to exist there is no more sting of death?
The sting to death is not just because there is no more death, but primarily because we have been redeemed from death and given eternal life.
Those who come up in the second resurrection, and then reject the opportunity to live God’s way of life, will die a second time in the lake of fire, destroying both their body and soul. (Matt 10:28, Rev 21:7-8)
Only those whom God judges as totally loving his way of life, will be living as immortal spiritual beings: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, with all your mind, and (love) your neighbour as yourself”. … if you do this you shall live. (Luke 10:25-30)
Those who don’t love God and their neighbour will be gone. Once they are dead, they won’t be suffering. They simply won’t exist.
And they also won’t be causing suffering to anyone else:
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. (Rev 21:4)
The new heaven and new earth will have no more death and therefore no more sting to death.
No more "sting to death" comes about because there will be no more death, as anyone who is alive will be immortal, and anyone who is dead will be no more.
All seems straightforward but then seems strange that they will no longer exist after being cast in the lake of fire (Rev 20:14, 15), yet the devil, the beast, and the false prophet will also be in the lake of fire tormented day and night forever and ever (Rev 20:10). My question then becomes how will those in death and hell being thrown in the lake of fire will cease to exist when the devil doesn't?
Thanks Richard, it does get a bit complicated, which is why I have written the next post, which should address your questions. I have just published it so it should be in your in box by now.
Very confusing thought:
Deathe, where is thy sting?
We can lose our soul, it can die eternally.
Which means we will not exist anymore.
Neither in heaven, nor in hell.
Not at all.
If the soul that is lost no longer exists then even without Jesus doing anything then there is no sting to death.
Thanks Richard for reading this post.

Is that any clearer?
